What is “The great life?” We often hear people talk about how life is supposed to be – or how they wish their life could be. But usually these things are expressed in ways that suggest that the people don’t really believe that life will ever be that way. They have met too many disappointments along the way. Sitting in a prison cell, the apostle Paul faces all his personal setbacks and declared that life was still good! In fact, as he wrote the people of one of his favorite churches, he began describing to them just how great life really was. Paul, a prisoner, describing “the great life” as if he was experiencing a part of it in spite of his situation.
