What we Believe

We believe in one God who is defined by love and holiness. He is God, Jesus and Holy Spirit and yet he is always one God. He is without beginning or end and created all things. He wants all he has created to honor him and love him and to fully enjoy the life he has given us.

He loves us enough to give us the freedom to choose to love him and follow him. That choice to follow or not comes with either positive or negative results and he has shown us over time that all people throughout time have fallen short of his perfection and his expectations, we go our own way. Even on our best days we cannot satisfy his holy requirements and this holy God cannot allow sin and sinners to be in his presence. All people need a solution to this problem that has devastating and eternal effects upon each person.

But because of His great love for his creation he has made hope possible for all people. We need salvation from the destruction our sin has earned so he provides salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Only faith in Jesus can save someone who has rebelled against God. It is not with good works or being good enough that we are saved. Turning to Jesus and asking him to save you from your sin is the key to salvation.

When a person commits their life to Jesus as their Lord and as their savior they mark that decision through immersion (baptism) showing that they are dying to the old way of living and are now finding life and strength through Jesus.

People who seek to know the Lord and to make him known in their life are disciples, individuals who want to be just like their leader, teacher, lord and friend. Jesus reveals God the father to us through the Holy Spirit, Bible study, prayer, fellowship with other Christians, and through observation of the life that goes on all around us. Walking with the Lord is a lifetime commitment with eternal benefits.

As we grow to know God more we want to share him more. God is already at work revealing himself to those around us and we are told to join him in telling his story of love, transformation, hope and peace to those we meet in this life. We do this through our words, actions and lifestyle always seeking to make an impact on others that reflect back on our Great God.
