Who We Are
We are a group of Christians, sometimes called disciples, other times referred to as the church, who believe in God and seek to follow him wholeheartedly.
We don't belong to a specific denomination but seek to partner with all who are following God so that we can see His Kingdom grow.
We are free to determine how we can serve the Lord best using our time, talent and treasure to know Christ and make Christ known in and through the Four Pillars of the Indianola Church of Christ: our Worship, Walk, Work and Witness.
WORSHIP: Our orientation to God - We believe that we were created to worship our Lord and Savior. We want to experience God at a deeper level through God-centered worship in everyday life. We desire to see, hear, and experience God in our daily walk with Jesus.
WALK: Our obedience to God - We are focused on helping one another develop and maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Scriptures command believers to love one another, live in harmony, forgive, encourage and serve, lay down our lives for each other, and share our possessions.
WORK: Our offering to God - Jesus roots his own purpose in the call not "to be served, but to serve." God expects his people to be a compassionate people, to care for the needs of others, and to place themselves in His service. We believe God has given every person a specific talent and we encourage all to use their talents to glorify God.
WITNESS: Our overflow of God - The church testifies to the life, death and resurrection of Jesus for the salvation of all people. We want to proactively share our faith with others in order to win them to Christ and help them become the disciples God wants them to be.
