Zach's House
Zach’s House is the neighborhood house which provides a comfortable space for conversation, study, refreshments, and various activities to facilitate growing relationships with each other and Jesus Christ. Located near the OSU campus, this two story space also provides housing for those interested in intentionally building relationships with students in the immediate neighborhood as well as an indoor and outdoor space used to connect with the surrounding community.
Mission
Zach’s House exists to introduce students to Jesus through hospitality and growing relationships, equipping them for life and service, and sending transformed students to transform the world.
History
The purchase of Zach’s House was initiated by the Indianola Church of Christ and a desire to extend its influence into the neighborhood through a campus ministry house. Positioned near the OSU campus, this house will be utilized to provide additional opportunities to serve and connect with the immediate campus neighborhood. The church officially closed on the property in May and work began to furnish the house for those students looking to partner with this neighborhood effort shortly after.
Name
The name of the house is based on the biblical account found in Luke. Luke 19 tells the story of an individual whose curiosity about Jesus began from a safe distance. Hospitality was then extended and received. And following moments of hospitality, an individual is transformed. And the transformation was not only for him, but transformation occurs in those around him as well. The transformation of one’s house. That is the story of Zach.
And that is the picture of what could happen at this house just a short distance from the church. Curiosity from a safe distance. Intentionally serving and providing hospitality to connect and initiate relationships with others. But it’s not about the house or the people there. It’s about Jesus. He’s the one who transforms lives and houses.

Zach’s House is positioned within walking distance of The Ohio State University and just a couple blocks away from the north campus dorms. The house address is 183 E. Norwich Ave. Columbus Oh, 43201. And the house is located one block north of Lane Ave. and just east of High St. (Click here for map)
