Our Vision

Our vision at the Indianola Church is to become a living reflection of Jesus where generations unite to make a profound and lasting impact in the lives of the young adults who live in our neighborhood.

Our Values

Our core values are belonging, compassion, impact, life change, authenticity, and being multigenerational.

Our Beliefs

1. We believe in one God: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.

We believe in God the Father, Creator of all things visible and invisible.
Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s one and only Son, our one and only Savior.
Matthew 21:11; John 1:14; John 3:16; 1 John 4:9; 2 Peter 3:18

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is active and operative and who indwells every Christian.
John 16:5-15; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Timothy 1:14

2. We believe in the Bible: God’s Holy Word.

God inspired the original writings of the Scripture and those writings are consequently without error. Therefore, we accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith & practice.
Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18; Matthew 24:35; Mark 12:36; John 14:26; Acts 1:16; Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16

3. We believe humanity is in need of redemption.

The Bible teaches that every person is created by God, has willfully sinned against God, and is consequently lost and without hope if apart from Jesus Christ.
Matthew 16:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:9; Romans 5:12; Romans 6:1-7; 1 John 4:15

4. We believe that salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Bible teaches that the pattern to follow to receive Jesus as Savior is to: Believe in Christ as God’s Son and Savior of the world, to Repent of personal sin, to Confess Jesus as Lord, and to be immersed in Christian Baptism.
Romans 10:9; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 Peter 3:21; 2 Peter 3:9

5. We believe in a collective Church.

The Church is the body and the bride of Jesus Christ, founded on the Day of Pentecost, consisting of all Christians everywhere.
Matthew 16:13-18; Acts 2:14-47; Ephesians 4:11-16
